In a Nuthouse
03:44
|
|||
Dinner at six. Lights out at ten.
Another day done then we begin again.
We’re watching TV and playing with cards
My life, I’d say, is not very hard
I came here as a child. I was special, they said
I heard my mother say I’d be better off dead.
My father said he had probable cause
As far as being dead he said I already was.
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
They say I’m the good one. They treat me all right
Because most of the time I just stay out of sight.
I’ve have lots of friends. I’m never alone.
This is the only life that I’ve ever known.
I stole me a key, so I sneak all around
Like a ghost down the halls not making a sound
Opening doors, at night I do peep.
I like to watch others whey they are asleep.
I wonder about all those people I see as I look out through the bars
Daylight, sunshine, and those things … that they call cars.
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
And now they say I’ll be released soon.
For me, they say this place, just doesn’t have room.
They’re letting me go. They say it is true.
Hey Mommy, hey Daddy, I’ll come and see you!
I wonder about all those people I see as I look out through the bars
Daylight, sunshine, and those things … that they call cars.
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse
I’m in a nuthouse
My home’s a nuthouse

In My Mind
03:00
|
|||
I think you could like me if you just got to know me.
To me, to me you are a celebrity.
8I feel you close by though I know it’s imaginary
Just a little longer and maybe it can be.
I read a little then I think I’ll call you up.
But when I push the buttons, well, the last one makes me stop.
I wonder will I ever have you all the time?
For now you’ll just be in my mind
I work and I play; the time it just passes by
Sometime I laugh and too sometimes I cry
I wonder how hard, how hard is it to try?
I read a little and I think I’ll call you up.
But when I push the buttons, well, the last one makes me stop.
I wonder if I’ll ever have you all the time?
For now you’ll just be in my mind
I Wonder wonder will this ever change?
Life is easy when it is the same.
Sometimes I wonder if I ever will believe.
Will the time come that you’ll forget me?
I read a little then I think I’ll call you up.
But when I push the buttons, well, the last one makes me stop.
I wonder will I ever have you all the time?
For now you’ll just be in my mind
For now you’ll just be in my mind

Run Around Hound
06:09
|
|||
She’s a shakin’ crazy run around hound
Been seen all over the town
Up down turn around lost and found
But she never goes near the pound.
She’s my good ol’ dog, she’s never alone
And she always finds her way home.
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
Well I change her water and I feed her well
And I always clean up her mess –
And when she’s gone, she’s gone, for days at a time
I still know she loves me best
She’s my good ol’ dog, she’s never alone
And she always finds her way home.
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
solo
She’s my good ol’ dog, she’s never alone
And she always finds her way home
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
She’s a shakin’ crazy run around hound
Been seen all over the town ––
Up down turn around lost and found
But she never goes near the pound –
She’s my good ol’ dog, she’s never alone
And she always finds her way home
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
Well I change her water and I feed her well
And I always clean up her mess –
And when she’s gone, she’s gone, for days at a time
I still know she loves me best
She’s my good ol’ dog, she’s never alone
And she always finds her way home
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town
And then we play around
Before she heads back out on the town

Memories that Remain
04:05
|
|||
Clouds above, gently passing
Kids at play, running, laughing
Clear creek lazily drifts by.
Green grass, blue blue sky.
The things that take away
Are the memories that remain
of you.
Afternoon, light and easy
Air is cool, gently breezy
Clear creek lazily drifts by.
Green grass, blue blue sky.
I still miss you so.
But I wish I’d never known you
You. You. I wish I’d never known you.
You. You. My life was a wreck when I was with you.
You. You. My greatest accomplishment was when I ran from
You. You. You.
Clouds above, gently passing
Kids at play, running, laughing
Little bubbles lazily drift by
Green grass, blue blue sky
The things that take away
Are the memories that remain
of you.
Clear creek lazily drifts by
Green grass, blue blue sky
The things that take away
Are the memories that remain (I’ll call you)
